Kenneth W. Blumenthal, D.O.

Dr. Ken Blumenthal has been practicing medicine in Northwest Indiana since 1979. He completed his undergraduate degree at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also completed his post-graduate training. He is board certified in Family Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the American Osteopathic College of Allergy and Asthma. He is a past president of the Porter County Medical Society and has received the President’s Award of the American Lung Association of Indiana. Dr. Blumenthal lives with his wife Jeanne, an attorney, and has two children-Robert and David. He is the Medical Director of Camp SuperKids which is an asthma camp for children with asthma sponsored by the American Lung Association of Indiana. Dr. Blumenthal holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do and is an avid golfer, photographer, and bronze sculptor. 

Matyt Adler, DNT, FNP-C

Matyt Adler is a certified nurse practitioner with over 30 years of nursing experience. Matyt received her baccalaureate in 1977 from University of Santo Tomas, Philippines and her master’s degree in family nurse practitioner from Purdue University Calumet. She joined Allergy Asthma Care in January, 2008. Her past experiences include 30 years of pediatric and adult medical - surgical nursing, dialysis, CAPD, chemotherapy as well as patient care manager and clinical resource nurse positions in pediatrics and medical nursing. She has also been involved as a nurse preceptor for nursing students in the RN and LPN programs. Matyt is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Society of Nurses in Advanced Practice, Oncology Nursing Society, and Respiratory Nursing Society. She maintains her certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, & Chemotherapy & Biotherapy. Matyt lives with her husband Terry, an electrician, and has two children-Marikko and Cameron. She volunteered as a firefighter in Merrillville for three years and holds a Firefighter I and II certification in the state of Indiana. Matyt’s clinical expertise coupled with her communication skills and enthusiasm are a great addition to Allergy Asthma Care.
